Not Private Anymore
For those of you that care, my blog is no longer private. We'll try it out for a while and see how it goes, and hopefully the weirdos will steer clear of my blogs this time. Anyways, you can now add me to bloglines or whatever you'd like! Hope to see you back more often!

Austin is in town!
My brother Austin has moved to Rexburg. My parents brought him here last weekend to find him a job and a place to live, and after MUCH searching, my mom and I finally found an apartment with roommates and a possible lead on a job. So, my mom left yesterday (please excuse me while I wipe my eyes....) and now I have another child! It was amazing how it happened so quickly. No long, terribly uncomfortable pregnancy. No giving birth (luckily...he weighs about 180 lbs). My mother walked out the door, and then he was my responsibility. My parents have definitely done their part....and I think they all need a break from eachother. Austin is 19 and ready to be independent (as much as he can be), and my parents definitely deserve a break from the everyday responsibilities that Austin requires. I'm hoping to find him a job soon so we can get back to some sort of "normal". I just hope that this will be a good experience for all of us.
Aaron's new HAIRDO
Ok....BEWARE! This picture might cause shock and big fits of laughter. For those of you who know Aaron, you can agree with me that he is a "hair man". Since he was a little boy, he hasn't let anyone touch his hair. He has always spent ridiculous amounts of time in front of the mirror to make it perfect, and everyone knew if you wanted to make Aaron mad, just touch his hair.Well, on Wednesday Aaron thought he'd trim the top of his hair. He started trimming (with the clippers), and all the sudden the guard fell off and "buzzzzzzzzzz"....off came a large chunk of hair from the top! After much disbelief and shock, he ran to show me what had happened. After I screamed and almost started crying, I tried to figure out how we were going to fix it. After much thought and trying to salvage what was left with the clippers, we knew we had to just shave it all off.
Ok, well, it's been gone for 3 days and I still don't like it. I keep hoping that one of these times I won't be SHOCKED when I look at him. He's received a mixed review....some people like it, some people don't say anything. He's starting to get used to it and is actually starting to like it because it cuts down his time to get ready by about 50%! I'm hoping he doesn't like it too much. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT GROWS BACK!

Back to School
Yesterday the girls started school. Can it really be school time already? Has summer even come yet? I think because of the cool summer, I've been just waiting for summer to come....and it still hasn't....and now it's almost fall!
I don't know about you, but I don't like it when my kids go to school. I don't like the schedule, having to make sure I'm here when the bus drops off the girls (at 11:20am and 2:45pm), the naughty things they learn from other children, homework (didn't I already go to school???), etc. So, needless to say, I am not thrilled that school has started.
Morgan started kindergarten this year. I can't believe I have 2 kids in school! Morgan came home from her first day TOTALLY excited and couldn't wait to go back! She loves everything about school. First, she gets to socialize....which for Morgan is #1! She also loved story time, snack and recess.
Ashlyn is my big 1st grader! She was very happy to get back to school and see all her friends she hasn't seen since May. She told me that the boys were already chasing her at recess. She told me that her favorite part of her day was lunch (new experience for her because kindergarten was only 1/2 day), the 3 recesses, and her treasure hunt.
Poor Kaden is stuck home with me all day everyday. He keeps telling me that he is supposed to go to pre-school and play with his friends. He hates to be alone...and always wants to play outside with his sisters. Hey, only 9 months until summer comes again!

Yount Family Reunion - Sunriver, OR
Sorry it's taken me so long to post about our trip. It has taken me longer to get back into the swing of things...I actually just got all our laundry done yesterday from the trip...and we've been back since Friday! Anyways, we got back late Friday night, and my parents and brother got here Saturday evening, so it's been crazy around here. So, on Sunday (Aug 10) we drove to Sunriver, OR (by Bend, in central Oregon) and spent 5 nights with Aaron's family. Aaron's parent's rented a large house (7 rooms!) and we had lots of fun visiting, swimming, eating, hiking and riding bikes. Everyone made it (even Aaron's grandma Lowe) except Cameron and his family (we missed you!). It was great to see everyone, visit, and let the kids play with their cousins. Here's a few of the MANY pictures taken on the trip!

We leave bright and early tomorrow morning for a reunion with Aaron's family. We are going to Sunriver, Oregon (central Oregon) and staying in a house my in-laws rented. It's going to be fun! We are excited to see the family....the kids can't wait to play with their cousins! We will be gone until Friday night, so we'll see you when we get back!
