Peyton is 4 months old now....holy cow does time fly! Although, when I try to remember the last time I slept through the night, it seems like a really long time ago.
Anyways, Peyton is doing pretty good. She was diagnosed with Reflux a month ago, so she is on 2 different prescriptions....she is sensitive to milk, so she has been on ProSobee formula, but might be switching to Nutramigin soon (SUPER expensive and very gross!). We noticed that she wasn't turning her head to the left and that her head was becoming misshapen, so I took her into the doctor and he ordered physical therapy for her neck and to see a specialist in SLC at Primary Children's for her head. They are going to see if she needs a helmet to reshape her head.
Anyways, we've been going to PT for about 2.5 weeks now, and she's getting better. She is gaining more movement in her neck and is getting stronger. We are going to SLC next Wednesday for her apt with the specialist. Living out here in the middle of nowhere sure has it's disadvantages! We have to drive about 4 hours each way to get to SLC, so we've decided to make it worth the trip. We are staying overnight and going to the Hogle Zoo the next day. Hopefully we will get some answers and I can start relaxing a little bit. All of this is a little stressful. I think it's stressful enough to have a baby....then you add this stuff on top....I'm exhausted! I have so much more respect for people that have children that have handicaps or disabilities. I cannot imagine even now....
Well, we'll keep you posted on what happens!
