Carving Pumpkins

Here's our photos from last night. We had Skyler, Aubrey and Austin over to help carve pumpkins. We've only carved 3...and have 2 left....which probably won't ever get carved. Oh well. I'll take pictures of the kids with their finished pumpkins soon.

I'm Random

So...not much has been happening around here...but I know how much you guys miss me when I don't post...so here's the little that has been going on:

Peyton has been doing better eating cereal. Her head is improving, and that gives us great hope. She is very smiley and LOVES all the attention she can get!Austin was bored, so he had his roommate shave his head. He showed up at my house last Sunday and surprised us all. (Not a good surprise!) He likes any and ALL attention (not much different from my children).I've been taking pictures of my friends' families (for Christmas cards). I'm DEFINITELY NOT a photographer, but I have a decent camera and I'm free. I've enjoyed it...but probably not enough to make it a hobby. My best friend, Merilee Sorensen and her family.Lori Thayne's girlsKristi Nelson's family

Anyways, that's all. Pretty boring around here. But not for long (I'm sad to say). Halloween is fast approaching and then it's pretty much the "holidays".

We're Back!

The kids and I got back from our trip last night. We had lots of fun (but missed Aaron TONS)...and the kids were not ready to come home.

Some of the highlights were:

playing w/ cousins
riding horses
hot tub
shopping
visiting with family
pumpkin patch/maze
visiting my grandmother

Thanks to everyone at home that made this trip possible. We had lots of fun and can't wait to see you again at Christmas!

P.S. Thanks Deborah for letting us crash at your house for the night. The kids are still talking about "their new friends"!

Home Sweet Home

The kids and I are headed to Washington to visit family. We've really just decided late last night...and we are leaving in only 1 hour! Anyways, Aaron is in DESPERATE need of peace and quiet so he can get some work done, so we will be leaving him home for about 12 days. For all that we are leaving behind in Rexburg, we will miss you, but will return soon....for those of you that are in Washington, let's get together!

Oh, and these pictures are from the last time I went home (June), so I'll post new pictures in a couple weeks! See you then!

The Day Has Finally Come

Today Peyton got her helmet. I'm not sure why they can't make them cute...especially since she has to wear it ALL the time! Anyways, we've been anticipating this day for about 3 months now. It's been a long and stressful road....and it's only about 1/2 over. The doctor that made the helmet says that she will be wearing it until atleast the end of the year, and probably into January. She has to wear it morning and night, but will get to take it off for about 2 hours a day. She is still going to physical therapy twice a week and the chiropractor once a week. We are kept so busy running her around to all her appointments, I will be thrilled when this part of our lives is over. Anyways, here's the first pictures of her with her helmet on.

Great Weekend!

On Friday afternoon my parents showed up on my front porch and surprised us. It was great! Normally I know at least a week in advance, so it gives me plenty of time to plan out what we are going to do and get all my cleaning done. This was not the case this weekend....which turned out to be even better! I wasn't exhausted (from cleaning) by the time they got here and we got to enjoy each others company more.

There were a few highlights this weekend: bowling and phaser tag. Here are a couple pictures of my dad bowling (taken from Aaron's iPhone...sorry for the quality) and thinking he is the "bomb" with his pants rolled up. Phaser tag was a new thing for us. It's like paint ball, but no paint...just little balls...but it hurts just as bad...just ask Skyler. He has war-wounds to prove it!Anyways, my parents left this morning....and I'm sad....but we are hoping to go visit soon! Come again!

Also, the other day I decided that Austin needed his eyebrows plucked. His brows are so bushy and "overgrown", that I couldn't stand it anymore! It took me about 30 minutes to finish because he was being such a baby....but he looks MUCH better now!
