We're Back!

We got back late Monday night from our long trip to Washington. It was great to see family and be there for all the exciting events (Austin's high school graduation, Lacey's baby being born, and Cale's mission homecoming)....but it is nice to be home and have our own space (not living out of a suitcase anymore! Hurray!), and to get some sleep. Anyways, we had lots of fun....some of the highlights were - camping (riding horses and fishing...my favorite!), Cale getting off the plane, swimming in Walla Walla with cousins, and the Country Mercantile (best store on earth!). There really is nothing like home! The comfort of being in the house you were raised in, and the best of all....being taken care of by your mom! It was so nice to wake up in the morning to the smell of breakfast cooking! I miss it already!

Busy Week...and More Busy-ness to Come!

2-Morgan's 5th birthday
3-Doctors' apts
4-Sunday school class party
5-Trevor & Whitney's wedding announcement photos
6-Girls' night outWhat's to come:

TRIP TO WASHINGTON!

Anyways, this is my last post for a few weeks. We leave Thursday morning for Washington to visit family and won't be back to Rexburg until the 23rd. We are SUPER excited to go "home" (Basin City)! Austin is graduating high school, Lacey is having her 1st baby and Cale is coming home from his 2-yr. mission to Arizona. We have lots of fun things planned (camping trip, girls' outing, visiting, visiting, visiting, and continuous eating). Can't wait! See you in a few weeks!

New Website

Check out our new family website: It's My Life

I am still in the process of finishing it, so don't expect something extraordinary. Let me know what you think!

Ashlyn's Kindergarten Graduation

I'm so glad today is over! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm so glad that school is out for the summer! Today was Ashlyn's last day of school and her kindergarten graduation. I have to tell you that (again) I had to fight back the tears! What is wrong with me?!? Who cries at their child's kindergarten graduation?!? Anyways, it was a real struggle for me to control my emotions, but I did it!This year they learned about butterflies and they got to watch the life cycle from beginning to end (caterpillar - butterfly). Ashlyn also gave a report on butterflies. So today each kid in her class got a butterfly and was able to release it after the graduation. It started to rain and she was worried that her butterfly would get wet, so she kept it and brought it home and released it in our yard.I think the reason I'm having such a hard time with all this graduation stuff is because it's becoming more evident that my children are growing up....and fast! Pretty soon my kids won't like me or want to just snuggle up with me...or talk to me. I remember being that way with my parents, and I hope I can do something different so my children won't be like that. I'm just not sure what that is. Any suggestions???

Am I Living in a Chevy Commercial?

Aaron recently got a new car...it's a 2006 Chevy Malibu. It's such a nice car and so pretty (although he thinks it's a "family car" and not a sporty, cool car). Anyways, since we've been married we've owned 1-Chevy Silverado (pickup), 2-Chevy Tahoe, 3-Chevy Impala, 4-Chevy Venture (van...currently own), 5-Chevy Malibu (2002-Cale's car), 6-Chevy Malibu (2006...currently own). Looks like we are a Chevy family!

7th Wedding Anniversary

This past Saturday was our 7th wedding anniversary. Are you sure it's only been 7 years!?! Just kidding....when I think back, I remember the excitement, anticipation, nerves, and complete happiness that surrounded that day. Everything was perfect! We got married in the Portland, OR temple (the one I'd always wanted to be married in), the weather was GORGEOUS, our family and friends were there and I was marrying my sweetheart and best friend.

It's 7 years later and we still love each other (at least most of the time) and we have 4 wonderful children that keep us laughing. I love you baby!

P.S. I'd put up some wedding photos, but I don't want to have to dig for them in my storage unit. When I find them, I'll put them up.
