In Love with Twilight

Ok...for those of you who don't know me...I don't read...I have never enjoyed reading...so I never do it. I think it's a mixture of things...I am a slow reader, no patience and no imagination.

Well, I have several friends (Mer and Lori) who kept bugging me to read the books...but of course, I turned them down. Well, for girls' night out a month ago, we went to the Twilight movie...and I LOVED it! I decided that I should try out the 1st book (since it couldn't be that bad if the movie was so great). I finished Twilight in 2 days and I was addicted! I finished all 4 books in 9 days...all 2500 pages...I've NEVER read that much in my entire life...all the books combined!

Ok, so there are many people that are obsessed with these books...and I wouldn't consider myself one...but I have decided that it was so nice to escape my normal, boring life and to join the world of vampires for a little while. I feel a little depressed now that I have finished the books....I feel like Forks has disappeared.

Well, it is a good thing that I have finished reading...my family was missing me and my house looked like a bomb hit. Aaron has decided that Stephanie Meyer (author) should not be allowed to write again....she has ruined every woman's ideas of what a man "should" be like (Edward)!

*P.S. I'm taking Aaron to the movie tonight so he knows what I'm talking about...can't wait!

*UPDATE: I took Aaron to the movie last night. So, the first time I saw the movie, I hadn't read the book. I LOVED the movie! Well, since then, I've read all the books...and when I saw the movie last night I was very excited...and it just wasn't what I remember it. Aaron thought it was terrible...what happened?!? Edward acted so strange...like awkward...Jasper is obviously a total whak-o (but I noticed that the first time) and Bella seemed so cold. Now I feel worried about the next movie.

Oh HAPPY Day!

We finally got the official word from the doctors that Peyton no longer needs to wear her helmet! Hurray! We also finished physical therapy just before Christmas....and I feel like life is getting back to normal.Peyton is now 11 months old, about 20 lbs, has 2 teeth and is just learning to walk. She is much happier now and actually doesn't mind a little snuggling-time every once in a while (definitely a new development). We love her to pieces!

Life Back to Normal???

We've now been home for 1 week...and I still feel like I'm trying to recover. We left on Dec 20 and got back on Jan 5 (at midnight...so really the 6th). It was great spending so much time with family....but a little hectic at times. Our original plan wasn't to be in Washington for Christmas, but we knew that if we didn't leave early, we might not get home at all because of the snow storms. Anyways, we had a very busy vacation (vacation...for lack of a better word)....here are some of our pictures from our trip.

We opened most of our gifts in Rexburg before we left. Here is the gift that I was most excited about. I got this for Kaden and Aaron....since Transformers is their favorite show to watch together.We did lots of snowmobiling. Grandpa Eppich let us use his little snowmobile....and the kids LOVED it! The girls did so well that they could drive by themselves (with just an adult [hanging on for dear life] behind).This is Christmas morning at my parents' house.Here is Peyton and Natalie (Lacey's baby).Kaden & Ryder (Cameron's son).My kids and their cousin, Brennan (Marcie's son).Here are some pictures from our "Yount New Years Eve Party" at Triple Play just outside of Spokane. This was our Christmas gift from Aaron's grandma (below is a picture of her with her great-grandchildren - 14...well, just the ones from Aaron's family). Everyone had a blast and we are already planning our next trip there. Peyton LOVED the water and would scream when we took her out.

Home for the Holidays

Surprise! We have arrived in Washington! This actually wasn't the plan, but we decided to leave yesterday to beat all the winter storms that are coming up this week. It kind of threw a wrench in our plans....mainly our Christmas plans, but we made it work. We had the kids open most of their gifts on Friday night so we didn't have to haul all our gifts. Christmas won't be the same, but at least we'll be with family!

What we've been up to...

This was our project for family home evening this week.Since the snow started to fall last week, the kids beg everyday for Aaron to give them snowmobile rides or pull them on the sled. Kaden is too scared of the snowmobile (he thinks it's too loud), so he plays with his dump truck instead.
Peyton has had many falls lately, but usually her helmet saves her...not this time! She was climbing on my stool and feel and the corner hit her right between the eyes. Poor baby!Today I went to start the wash and my washer was making funny noises. So, Aaron and Kaden took it apart and decided it was more complicated than they thought...so after about 30 minutes on the phone with parts and service, they are coming out tomorrow to figure out what's wrong with it!

These pictures were taken yesterday morning before church....what a joke! The kids did NOT want to cooperate! I'm not sure I can convince Aaron to take pictures next Christmas....it was that painful! Well, I'm glad they are done...and luckily they turned out pretty good (for taking them by ourselves).
